The Mermaid washing line rig is used for targeting
Garfish, Launce, Scad or for live baiting for sea Bass. This rig uses a self cocking float and bubble float andwill set the hooks just below the surface and will respond to the tide and wind conditions.

Using ground bait in combination with this rig makes it very effective. Squid can even be targeted using this rig.
