The Mermaid extreme long range bomber rig utilises the Gemini SRT Spring. On a normal clip down rig after a few casts the snood often becomes stretched, and the rig can no longer function correctly. To prevent this the Mermaid Bomber rig utilises a SRT spring whichcompresses during the cast, it also keeps the hook under optimum tension giving a dynamic release. This bomber rig is very popular with the competiton match angler, and is suitable for long range casting when targeting a wide range of species.
