Clip Down Portland Rig

The Mermaid Clip Down Portland Rig is a very useful rig for many situations, it is found in many variants. This version uses a Gemini SRT spring and short mono loop to keep the long freely moving trace clipped tighlty during the cast. When the lead makes impact with the water the snood is released and is free to move up and down the rig body in the water current, in a similar manner to the Portland rig.
