The Mermaid boom uptide pennel rig is an
adaptable single boom running ledger with a pennel
arrangement allowing the natural presentation of
larger baits such as Squid. The 4" boom helps to avoid
the tangles encountered when uptide fishing. The weight is attached to the hook snap link pulling down and sending the trace off away from danger.

Uptiding is the technique of fishing uptide from an anchored boat in order to avoid the disturbed water around the boat.
