The Mermaid boom Downtide wishbone rig is an
adaptable single boom running ledger with a two hook wishbone arrangment that allows two baits to be presented for a stronger scent trail. The 4" ruggedised boom helps to avoid the tangles encountered when downtide fishing. The weight is attached to the hook snap link pulling down and sending the trace off away from danger

Downtiding is the technique of fishing downttide on the drift from an anchored boat.
